How much are Iceland Post customs and handling fees?

Standard VAT is 24%, with a reduced 11% rate on books, newspapers, magazines, and most food. If a shipment requires clearance, Pósturinn adds a handling fee of about ISK 599 per shipment from within Europe and ISK 799 from outside Europe, on top of any VAT or duty.
