What is the difference between registered mail and EMS?

Registered mail (prefix R, such as RR) is a tracked, signed letter or small-packet service that is economical and best for documents and light items. EMS (prefix E, such as EE) is the premium express tier with faster transit, full end-to-end tracking, and priority handling, best for urgent or valuable shipments. Both provide a tracking number and a signature on delivery.
