Trackon Courier Tracking

Trackon Couriers is an Indian express company built around a retail counter network rather than a website: more than 6,500 franchise stores take in documents and parcels across 17,000 plus pin codes, and the company reports handling roughly 200,000 consignments a day. Trackon tracking therefore starts at a shop counter, and the number most people search with is printed on the paper shipper copy handed back at booking, not emailed. Since August 2023 the business has been owned by the ecommerce parcel network XpressBees, although it still runs its own branded network, its own guaranteed Prime Track product, and international service to 196 or more countries. Its tracker is unusual in one respect that matters to anyone chasing a parcel: alongside the scan list it exposes the booking branch, the branch manager and a working phone number.

Trackon Tracking Number Format

The Trackon tracking field accepts a maximum of 12 characters, a limit enforced by the tracking form on Trackon's own website. Trackon's interface labels the identifier the AWB, the company's own FAQ calls the same thing a consignment, and franchise counters and receipts commonly call it the docket number. All three terms describe the number printed on the shipper copy.

In circulation, Trackon AWBs are all numeric, carry no spaces or separators, and typically run to 10 to 12 digits. Trackon does not publish a prefix scheme, and no alphabetic prefix appears in its booking system. Third-party tracking sites circulate prefixed patterns such as TC or TKN followed by digits, but those are undocumented, contradict one another, and should not be used to validate a number.

The tracker offers a second lookup mode, Order/Ref. Number, which takes the sender's own reference rather than a Trackon AWB. That field carries no length limit, because the reference is generated by the shipper and not by Trackon, and it resolves only if the booking branch keyed it in.

One number is regularly mistaken for a tracking ID and is not one: registering a complaint returns a 7-digit complaint number, which follows a service ticket rather than a parcel. The multi-consignment tracker accepts fewer than 30 numbers in a single lookup.

Where to Find Trackon Tracking Number

Because Trackon bookings are made in person at a franchise outlet, the AWB exists on paper before it ever appears on a screen. Trackon's FAQ instructs senders to "remember to take a shipper copy after booking the consignment", and that copy is the primary record of the number.

  • The shipper copy handed back across the franchise counter at booking, which carries the AWB as its main reference.
  • The consignment note or docket sticker on the parcel itself, printed at the booking branch.
  • The SMS or WhatsApp notification sent at booking, where a mobile number was supplied.
  • The seller's dispatch confirmation, for a parcel sent by a D2C brand or online seller that assigned Trackon through a shipping aggregator.
  • The booking branch's own records, retrievable by phoning the outlet that accepted the parcel.

An order ID from a shop or a marketplace is not a Trackon AWB, and it will not resolve in the tracker unless the seller also registered it as the Order/Ref. Number. Recipients who did not make the booking usually have to ask the sender for the AWB, because Trackon issues it to the person standing at the counter.

Trackon Tracking Number Example

The table sets out the identifiers Trackon actually uses, with the character limits its own systems enforce. Trackon publishes no prefix-to-service mapping, so no row claims one, and the patterns below are structural rather than real consignments.

Format / Pattern

Typical Length

What It Indicates / Where You See It

AWB / consignment / docket number, all numeric, no separators

10 to 12 digits, capped at 12 characters by the tracking form

Shipper copy, parcel label, booking SMS. This is the number used for standard Trackon tracking.

Order / Ref. Number, free-form, set by the sender

No fixed length

The sender's own order reference. Searchable in the tracker's second mode, but only if the booking branch recorded it.

Complaint number, numeric

7 digits

Issued after a complaint is registered. It follows a service ticket, not a parcel, and will not resolve in the AWB field.

Transporter ID, GSTIN format

15 characters

Trackon's national transporter ID, 07AABCC8298E1ZH, quoted on e-way bills under SAC code 996812. Not a tracking number.

Prefixed formats published by aggregator sites are not part of Trackon's documented scheme, and the prefix alone does not reliably indicate a service. A number that fails in the tracker is more often a booking that has not yet synced than a number typed wrongly, for the reason set out below.

Trackon Tracking Status Guide

Trackon scans a consignment at each transit point between the booking franchise and the delivery branch, and the tracker returns that scan list against the AWB. The vocabulary below combines the movement stages the network records with the operational terms Trackon uses in its own FAQ and complaint categories.

Status

Description

Booked

The franchise outlet has accepted the consignment and issued the shipper copy. The AWB exists on paper, but may not resolve online yet.

In Transit

The consignment has been collected and is moving between hubs by air, rail or road, depending on the service booked.

Received at hub

The parcel has been scanned in at a sorting hub, commonly the destination hub serving the delivery pin code.

DRS / Out for Delivery

The parcel is on a Delivery Run Sheet with a delivery agent. Trackon's delivery window runs from 10:00 to 19:00.

Delivered

The consignment has been handed over and a proof of delivery captured. Trackon can supply the POD, and its tracker carries signature and consignment image views.

NDR / Undelivered

A Non-Delivery Report has been raised after a failed attempt, for example a closed address or an unavailable recipient. The tracker has a dedicated NDR image view.

Misroute

The consignment has been forwarded to the wrong destination. Trackon treats this as a named complaint category and attributes it to human error at sorting.

Out-of-delivery area

The destination sits outside a regular delivery beat. Trackon states these consignments are "mostly delivered once a week".

No-service area

The pin code is not served. The consignment waits at the nearest hub for collection, or is returned to the booking origin.

RTO / Returned to origin

The parcel is going back to the sender after failed delivery, refusal, or a no-service destination.

Seized or held by authorities

The consignment is held in a tax or transport check. Trackon notes that authorities scrutinise whole vehicle loads rather than single parcels, which lengthens the hold.

Why Trackon Tracking Is Not Updating or Not Working

Most Trackon tracking that is "not working" resolves into a small number of documented conditions, and two of them are specific to how Trackon runs its counter network.

The booking has not synced yet. This is the single most common cause, and Trackon documents it plainly:

"Our website reflects bookings after one working day. If more time has passed, please contact your booking agent." (Trackon, FAQs, trackon.in, 2026.)

A shipper copy issued this morning will not resolve online this afternoon. A brand-new AWB returning no information is expected behaviour for about one working day, not a fault.

The consignment is older than 75 days. Trackon caps how long scan history stays queryable, and says so on the tracking page itself:

"Consignment status is available for 75 Days Only." (Trackon, courier tracking page, 2026.)

A perfectly valid AWB from four months ago returns nothing. That is data retention expiring rather than a lost parcel, and after that point the booking branch is the only route to the record.

A regional holiday has paused the scans. Trackon publishes a state-by-state holiday calendar and warns of "a temporary delay in delivery on the given holidays". A parcel moving through West Bengal during Durga Puja, or through Punjab at Lohri, can sit for a day or two without a new scan while the network in that state is closed, even though nothing is wrong.

The destination is an out-of-delivery or a no-service area. Where a pin code sits off a regular beat, Trackon delivers about once a week, so scans go quiet between attempts. Where the pin code is not served at all, the parcel waits at the nearest hub for the recipient to collect it, or is sent back to origin.

A delivery attempt failed and an NDR was raised. After a failed attempt the parcel returns to the branch and waits for a reattempt. The address cannot be corrected by the recipient: Trackon requires the booking branch to raise the complaint on the sender's behalf.

Wrong number or wrong identifier. A 7-digit complaint number, a marketplace order ID, or a sender's internal reference typed into the AWB field will not resolve. The Order/Ref. Number mode exists for the sender's reference, and works only where the booking branch keyed it in.

Genuinely delayed. Where none of the above applies, the sender should contact the booking branch first, because the branch that issued the shipper copy holds the record and can raise a complaint. Trackon's tracker surfaces branch details, including an operations contact and a branch manager with a phone number, which is the fastest escalation route.

Proof of Delivery, NDR Images and Branch Details

Trackon's tracking result carries three image views that most Indian courier trackers do not expose publicly: a consignment image, a signature image, and an NDR image attached to a failed delivery. Where a parcel shows as delivered but never arrived, Trackon directs customers to register a complaint under the DRS (Delivery Run Sheet) category and undertakes to supply the proof of delivery.

The tracker also opens a branch details panel drawn from Trackon master data, listing address, city, state, pin code, the operations contact person and the branch manager, each with a phone number. This matters because the network is franchised: the outlet that booked the parcel, or the one delivering it, is a real shop with a named manager, and calling it directly is usually faster than the national line. Complaints registered on the website return a 7-digit reference, and Trackon commits to feedback by SMS or call from customer care within 3 working days.

Trackon also runs a public fraud warning across its tracking pages, worth heeding when a caller claims a parcel needs a payment released:

"Trackon never asks customers to pay online or share OTP/UPI Pin. Any such request over phone may be treated as fraud call." (Trackon, trackon.in, 2026.)

Services and Delivery Times Compared

Trackon runs eight named domestic service attributes, of which only Prime Track carries a delivery guarantee. The rest are graded by mode, weight, and who pays the freight.

Service

What It Covers

Speed and Limits

Prime Track

Guaranteed express for urgent and valuable consignments, with real-time tracking and tamper-proof handling

Guaranteed next or second business day delivery across India. The only Trackon service with a published guarantee.

Express Standard

Everyday express for documents and parcels, moved by air, rail or road

No published guarantee. The default counter service.

Air Express Cargo

Bulk shipments at express speed on pan-India air lanes

Up to 100 kg. A single piece over 100 kg needs prior approval from the operations department.

Road Express Cargo

Heavy B2B consignments with special material handling and professional pickup

Surface economics for heavy freight.

ToPay

Freight collected from the consignee instead of the sender

Contractual customers only. Can be combined with Cash on Delivery.

Cash on Delivery / DOD

Payment collected from the recipient on handover

Corporate and credit customers only.

Reverse Pickup

Collections back from buyers and suppliers for returns

Pan-India reverse logistics.

Risk Cover

Insurance against loss or damage

Non-refundable risk surcharge of 2% of invoice value. Where the sender already holds insurance, 0.2% applies for a Certificate of Facts to support a claim.

Chargeable weight follows volumetric divisors that differ by mode: length x breadth x height divided by 5000 for domestic surface and for international, 6000 for domestic air, and 4500 for Road Express, all in centimetres. Parcels longer than 110 cm by air, or 180 cm by surface, are charged at double weight.

Delivery and Transit Times

Prime Track is the only Trackon lane with a stated commitment, at next or second business day nationwide. Trackon publishes no service level agreement for its other services, so the ranges below are estimates based on the mode booked and normal Indian express lanes, not guarantees from Trackon.

Lane

Mode

Transit

Prime Track, any metro pair

Air

Next or second business day (Trackon guarantee)

Within a metro or state, e.g. Delhi to Gurugram

Surface

1 to 2 business days (estimate)

Metro to metro, e.g. Delhi to Bengaluru, Mumbai to Kolkata

Air or rail

2 to 4 business days (estimate)

Metro to a tier 2 or tier 3 town

Air plus a surface leg

3 to 6 business days (estimate)

Northeast, hill and remote pin codes

Surface

5 to 9 business days (estimate)

Out-of-delivery areas

Weekly beat

Trackon states these are "mostly delivered once a week"

Three Trackon-specific factors stretch these ranges. Deliveries run only between 10:00 and 19:00. Regional holidays close parts of the network on dates that vary by state. Heavy freight and cargo consignments move on surface schedules regardless of the origin metro.

Regional Holidays That Pause Trackon Scans

Trackon publishes a holiday calendar of more than 30 dates for 2026, most of them regional rather than national, and states that "there may be a temporary delay in delivery on the given holidays". A parcel that goes quiet for a day is very often sitting in a state whose network is closed. The national closures, which affect the entire network, are the shortest list.

Returns, Reverse Pickup and Damage Claims

Trackon runs a pan-India Reverse Pickup service that collects goods back from buyers and suppliers, and a consignment that cannot be delivered is returned to the booking origin rather than held indefinitely. Re-sending a returned parcel is handled on the customer care line, 8448011011, rather than online.

Damage claims turn on one step that has to happen at the door: Trackon requires the recipient to note the damaged condition when signing the proof of delivery. The company states it does not repack consignments and does not accept liability for damage arising from poor packing by the sender. Compensation therefore runs through the Risk Cover surcharge taken at booking, at 2% of invoice value, or through the sender's own insurer using the 0.2% Certificate of Facts option.

Loss and misroute complaints are registered by category on the Trackon website, including DRS for a parcel marked delivered but not received, and Misroute for a consignment forwarded to the wrong destination. Address corrections cannot be made by the recipient; the booking branch must raise the complaint on the sender's behalf.

Which Countries Does Trackon Deliver To?

Trackon international tracking covers 196 or more countries, a reach Trackon assembles from its own Self Network Economy Express lanes plus tie-ups with international carriers, rather than from an owned overseas fleet. Cross-border consignments are booked at the same franchise counters and carry the same AWB on the shipper copy.

Domestically Trackon serves more than 17,000 pin codes, a figure that has grown sharply since the XpressBees acquisition: reporting at the time of the 2023 deal put daily coverage at around 5,000 pin codes. The network is anchored on a New Delhi head office in Naraina Industrial Area, with franchise density in metros and in tier 2 and tier 3 towns alike. For comparison, Delhivery and Blue Dart publish broadly similar national pin code coverage, while India Post remains the only network reaching essentially every pin code in the country, which is why Trackon's no-service destinations often end up with the postal system or waiting at a hub for collection.

International destinations group by the partner lanes Trackon sells against:

  • Domestic: 17,000 plus pin codes across every state and union territory, served from more than 6,500 franchise outlets.
  • North America: United States, Canada.
  • Europe: United Kingdom, Germany, France, Netherlands, Italy, Spain.
  • MENA and Gulf: United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, a heavy lane for Indian diaspora document and gift traffic.
  • Asia Pacific: Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong.

Trackon does not name its international carrier partners publicly, and describes the arrangement on its own site only as "multi-courier shipping options". Where a consignment is handed to a partner abroad, the visible scan trail can thin out after export, which is normal for a self network plus partner model.

Cross-Border Customs and International Handoff

Trackon's international product set has four named lines: Priority Solutions for expedited export, Import Express Solution for inbound doorstep or warehouse delivery, Freight Forwarding for bulk, and Self Network Economy Express for budget parcels moved on Trackon's own lanes. Volumetric weight on all international shipments is length x breadth x height divided by 5000 in centimetres.

Commercial exports require a substantial document set, which Trackon lists explicitly: a commercial invoice, a packing list, a shipper declaration form, a Shipper's Letter of Instruction, an IEC code, an AD Code registered with the bank, a Letter of Undertaking, and, for electrical goods, a SCOMET letter with a non-hazardous certificate. Trackon publishes downloadable templates for GR waiver forms, KYC, MSDS, country declarations and drawback annexures.

Restricted items are refused outright, and the list includes live animals, human remains, bullion, currency, loose precious and semi-precious stones, firearms and explosives, ivory, antiques and artwork, cigarettes and electronic cigarettes, dangerous goods, perishables, jewellery and watches, and negotiable instruments. Duty and tax at the destination fall to the receiver on standard consignments.

Domestically, goods worth more than INR 50,000 require an e-way bill under GST rules, with narrower exceptions for handicraft goods and inter-state job work that apply at any value. Trackon ships against national transporter ID 07AABCC8298E1ZH under SAC code 996812. A consignment caught in a tax check is usually swept up in a whole-vehicle inspection rather than singled out, which is why these holds run long.

Marketplace Collaborations

Trackon holds no headline marketplace contracts under its own brand, and it is candid about what it is: an SME and retail counter courier. Its ecommerce volume arrives by two other routes. The first is D2C brands, online sellers and 3PLs who assign Trackon as a carrier through shipping aggregator platforms, manifesting shipments and managing returns and NDR workflows over API. The second is the Reverse Pickup network, which collects returns back from buyers for those sellers.

The larger marketplace connection now runs through the parent company. XpressBees is one of India's biggest ecommerce parcel carriers and integrates directly with Meesho, Flipkart, Myntra and Amazon, and the stated logic of the 2023 acquisition was to move XpressBees into the SME courier space that Trackon's franchise counters already occupied. The two remain separate tracking systems: a Meesho or Flipkart order will not resolve against a Trackon AWB, because that marketplace parcel travels on the XpressBees network under its own number.

For a seller shipping from a Trackon counter, the practical consequence is that Cash on Delivery and ToPay are gated to corporate and credit accounts. An individual seller walking into a franchise store pays the freight up front and passes the AWB to the buyer from the shipper copy.

About Trackon

Trackon Couriers Private Limited was incorporated in Delhi on 24 January 2002 under CIN U63013DL2002PTC113971, and the company dates its founding story to 2001. It is an active private limited company, headquartered at A-64, Naraina Industrial Area Phase-1, New Delhi 110028, and it was founded and led by Prabhat Kumar Anand.

In August 2023 the ecommerce parcel network XpressBees acquired Trackon, its first acquisition, with the stated aim of entering the SME courier segment. Reporting at the time described Trackon as a 21-year-old express business handling 200,000 consignments a day, and noted that founder Prabhat Kumar Anand would continue to lead the business independently for at least two years. Rajesh Kapase now serves as chief executive, and XpressBees co-founder Amitava Saha sits on the board.

The network has grown since. It today comprises more than 6,500 franchise stores, over 17,000 pin codes against the roughly 5,000 reported at the time of the deal, a self-reported workforce of 10,000 plus people, and international service to 196 or more countries, with a stated plan to keep adding franchises across South India. Trackon is not a member of the Universal Postal Union, whose framework covers designated national postal operators; as a private express operator it reaches international destinations through commercial carrier partners instead. Among Indian private couriers it is closest in shape to DTDC, which is built on the same franchise-counter model, rather than to the asset-heavy ecommerce networks.

Trackon Courier Common Questions:

How do I track a Trackon consignment?

Enter the AWB number from the shipper copy into the tracking box on this page, or into the AWB field on Trackon's own tracking portal. The tracker returns the scan list for the consignment, along with details of the branch handling it. Trackon's multi-consignment mode accepts fewer than 30 numbers at once.

What does a Trackon tracking number look like?

A Trackon AWB is all numeric, with no letters or separators, and typically runs to 10 to 12 digits. Trackon's own tracking form caps the field at 12 characters. Trackon does not publish a prefix scheme, so prefixed patterns such as TC or TKN that appear on third-party sites are not part of its documented format.

Where do I find my Trackon tracking number?

On the shipper copy handed back at the franchise counter when the parcel was booked. Trackon's FAQ tells senders to take that copy at booking, because it is the primary record of the AWB. The number is also on the docket sticker attached to the parcel, and in the booking SMS or WhatsApp message where a mobile number was given.

Why is my Trackon tracking not updating?

The most common reason is that the booking has not synced yet. Trackon states that its website reflects bookings after one working day, so a number issued today may show nothing until tomorrow. After that, the usual causes are a regional holiday closing the network in that state, a destination on a weekly delivery beat, a failed delivery attempt logged as an NDR, or a consignment held in a tax inspection. If more than a working day has passed with no scan, contact the booking branch, which holds the record.

Why does Trackon tracking show no information for my AWB?

Either the booking is less than a working day old and has not appeared online yet, or the consignment is more than 75 days old and its status has expired out of the tracker. It can also mean the wrong identifier was entered: a complaint number, a marketplace order ID, or a sender's internal reference will not resolve in the AWB field.

How long does Trackon keep tracking data online?

75 days. Trackon states on its tracking page that consignment status is available for 75 days only. After that a valid AWB returns nothing, and the booking branch becomes the only route to the record.

Can I track several Trackon consignments at once?

Yes. Trackon's tracker has a multiple tracking numbers mode that accepts fewer than 30 AWBs in a single lookup, entered one per line.

What is the difference between an AWB and an Order/Ref. Number on the Trackon tracker?

The AWB is Trackon's own consignment number, printed on the shipper copy and capped at 12 characters. The Order/Ref. Number is the sender's own reference, with no fixed length, and it resolves only if the booking branch entered it into the system at booking. A recipient almost always needs the AWB.

My Trackon parcel says delivered but I never received it. What should I do?

Register a complaint under the DRS (Delivery Run Sheet) category on the Trackon website, or call customer care on 8448011011. Trackon undertakes to supply the proof of delivery, and its tracker carries signature and consignment image views for exactly this situation.

How do I contact Trackon customer care?

The customer care line is 8448011011, used for pickups, self-collection, re-sending a returned consignment, and delivery disputes. The New Delhi head office can be reached on 011-4559 3500, and the email address is customercare@trackon.in. Because the network is franchised, calling the booking branch directly is often faster, and the branch phone number appears in the tracking result.

How do I raise a complaint with Trackon, and how long does it take?

Complaints are registered on Trackon's website under named categories, including DRS for a parcel marked delivered but not received, and Misroute for one sent to the wrong destination. You receive a 7-digit complaint number. Trackon states that customer care responds by SMS or call within 3 working days.

What are Trackon's delivery timings?

Deliveries run from 10:00 to 19:00. A parcel showing as out for delivery outside those hours is normally attempted on the following working day.

My Trackon consignment was returned to origin. How do I re-send it?

Call Trackon on 8448011011 to arrange re-sending. Consignments are returned to the booking origin after repeated failed delivery, refusal by the recipient, or where the destination pin code is a no-service area.

Does Trackon deliver to my pin code?

Trackon serves more than 17,000 pin codes and offers a branch locator and a pin code serviceability check on its site. Where a pin code is a no-service area, the consignment waits at the nearest hub for collection or goes back to the sender. Where it is an out-of-delivery area, Trackon states that delivery is mostly made once a week.

Can I collect my parcel from a Trackon office instead of waiting for delivery?

Yes. Self-pickup is arranged by calling 8448011011. This is also the standard route for consignments sent to a no-service pin code, which are held at the nearest hub for the recipient to collect.

Is Trackon still operating, and who owns it?

Yes. Trackon Couriers Private Limited is an active company and the network is running normally. It has been owned by the ecommerce parcel network XpressBees since an acquisition in August 2023, but it continues to trade under the Trackon brand, with its own franchise network and its own tracking system.

What is Prime Track, and is it faster?

Prime Track is Trackon's only guaranteed service, promising next or second business day delivery across India, with real-time tracking and tamper-proof handling. It is also the service Trackon recommends for valuable consignments. Every other Trackon service, including Express Standard, is sold without a published delivery guarantee.

My Trackon parcel arrived damaged. What can I claim?

The damage has to be noted on the proof of delivery when signing for the parcel. Trackon states that it does not repack consignments and does not accept liability for damage caused by poor packing. Compensation runs through the Risk Cover surcharge taken at booking, at 2% of invoice value, or, where the sender holds their own insurance, through the 0.2% Certificate of Facts option that supports a claim with that insurer.
