Kerry Express Tracking

Kerry Express is the courier that made cash on delivery routine in Thai e-commerce, collecting up to 50,000 baht per parcel at the door and remitting it to the seller's bank account within days of delivery. The carrier trades today as KEX, part of the SF Express group, and Kerry Express tracking follows parcels across all 77 Thai provinces through a network of more than 15,000 service points, one central hub and 11 regional hubs. Its 350 KEX Shops double as international counters, handing cross-border parcels to SF Express for carriage to more than 65 destinations. Drop-off runs through more than 10,000 partner points nationwide, and the same vehicles carry a large share of the TikTok Shop, Shopee and Lazada orders that dominate Thai online retail.

Kerry Express Tracking Number Format

A Kerry Express tracking number is the identifier printed on the consignment note, which the carrier's Terms and Conditions of Carriage define as "any paperwork or equivalent document in paper or electronic form concerning the Shipment". KEX uses "tracking number" and "consignment number" for the same string, and both the website and the app accept several numbers in one query.

KEX publishes no public format specification, and numbers on Thai domestic parcels are not uniform. In practice they run to 12 to 15 characters, most often three letters followed by digits. The legacy Kerry Express Thailand pattern opens with TBK, for example TBK101901611. Numbers issued since the KEX rebrand are commonly seen with KEX and KX prefixes. All-digit strings also circulate, because marketplace sellers frequently pass through the platform's own consignment reference.

The prefix alone does not reliably indicate the service used, and it says nothing about the destination. International parcels booked at a KEX Shop are carried by SF Express under an SF Express consignment number and are traced in SF Express's global tracking system rather than the Thai domestic one. One rule always holds: enter the string exactly as printed, with no spaces and no dashes.

Where to Find Kerry Express Tracking Number

The number is repeated on every document that travels with the parcel and in the messages the sender or the marketplace generates.

  • The KEX receipt handed over at a KEX Shop or a partner drop-off counter, printed beneath the barcode.
  • The barcode label attached to the parcel itself.
  • The shipping confirmation email or SMS sent by the seller.
  • The order detail page of the marketplace, under the shipment or delivery tab.
  • The SMS or email issued when a parcel is routed to a collection point, which carries the tracking number alongside a six-digit PIN.
  • The shipment history in the KEX App, for parcels booked with a KEX account.

A marketplace order ID is not a tracking number. Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop order references identify the purchase rather than the consignment, and the KEX tracking field rejects them. Recipients who never received a number should ask the seller, because KEX issues it to the shipper and not to the consignee.

Kerry Express Tracking Number Example

The patterns below are the ones that appear on Thai parcels in circulation. KEX does not document what each prefix means, so a prefix should be read as a clue to the era or origin of the label, never as proof of the service level.

TBK + digits, for example TBK10190161112 charactersLegacy Kerry Express Thailand domestic consignments, still widely in circulation
KEX + digits12 to 15 charactersCommonly seen on domestic consignments labelled under the KEX brand

Kerry Express Tracking Status Guide

Kerry Express tracking events map onto the stages KEX's Terms and Conditions of Carriage set out: collection, linehaul through one of 11 regional hubs, a capped sequence of delivery attempts, and a defined return path. Wording differs slightly between the KEX website, the KEX App and the LINE Official Account, but the stages themselves are the same.

StatusDescription
Shipment information receivedA consignment note exists and the number is live, but KEX has not yet taken physical custody. Common for pre-printed marketplace labels.
Picked up / Parcel receivedKEX has taken custody at a KEX Shop, a partner drop-off point, a locker or through a door pickup.
In transitThe parcel is moving between the origin branch, a sorting hub and the destination branch. KEX runs one central hub and 11 regional hubs.
Arrived at sorting hubThe parcel has been scanned into a hub and is waiting for the outbound linehaul to its destination province.
Arrived at destination branchThe parcel is at the branch that covers the delivery address and is queued for a delivery run.
Out for deliveryA courier is carrying the parcel on the delivery route. A signature is required at handover as proof of delivery.
Delivery attempt failedNobody was available, the consignee refused the parcel, refused the COD payment, or the address could not be used. KEX re-attempts on two further working days within the next seven working days at no extra charge.
On holdKEX judges the consignee's details incomplete or incorrect and has stopped the parcel while it seeks instructions from the shipper.
Ready for self-collectionThe parcel is waiting at a collection point under the SCL service. It is held for three working days, and the recipient needs the tracking number plus the six-digit PIN sent by SMS or email.
Placed in lockerThe parcel is in a Hibox locker and an SMS code opens the compartment. Parcels not collected within 72 hours are returned to the originating branch.
DeliveredThe parcel was handed to the consignee, or to another person available at the consignee's address, and a signature was captured.
Return to sender / UndeliverableEvery attempt failed, or the parcel could not be delivered within seven working days of the estimated delivery date. It goes back to the shipper at the shipper's cost.

Why Kerry Express Tracking Is Not Updating or Not Working

A Kerry Express tracking number that shows nothing, or that has not moved for days, almost always sits in one of the situations below.

Awaiting the first scan. A number goes live the moment the seller creates the consignment note, which can be well before KEX physically holds the parcel. Until a KEX Shop, a drop-off counter or a pickup courier scans it, the tracker legitimately has nothing to show. Marketplace sellers who batch-print labels often generate numbers a day or two ahead of handover.

In transit between hubs. Thai domestic parcels are scanned at the origin branch, at a hub and at the destination branch, not continuously. A gap of 24 to 48 hours between two events on a long linehaul, for example Bangkok to the far South, is normal and is not evidence of a lost parcel.

Failed delivery attempt. KEX makes a maximum of three delivery attempts: the first, then two re-deliveries on other working days within the following seven working days, without additional charge. Between attempts the status can appear frozen. A working day at KEX runs Monday to Saturday and excludes Thai national holidays, so a Sunday or a long holiday weekend stalls the tracking on its own.

COD refused at the door. If the recipient inspects a cash-on-delivery parcel and declines it, the parcel is taken back unpaid and re-enters the network as a return. The tracker then reads as an unsuccessful delivery rather than a delivery, which surprises senders who were expecting a completed handover.

Held at a collection point or locker. Parcels routed for self-collection are held for three working days and locker parcels for 72 hours. Once those windows close the parcel is returned to the originating branch, and the last event stays fixed until the return leg is scanned.

Wrong or incomplete number. A marketplace order ID, a truncated string, or a number typed with spaces or dashes returns no result. The number is 12 to 15 characters and must be entered exactly as printed.

The wrong tracking system. An international parcel dropped at a KEX Shop is carried by SF Express and updates in SF Express's global tracking system. Querying a domestic KEX tracker with an international consignment number returns nothing, even though the parcel is moving normally.

Genuinely delayed. KEX states plainly that estimated delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed. When a parcel has stopped for several working days, the sender should raise it first, because KEX takes instructions from the shipper and not from the consignee. The KEX call centre is 1217.

Services and Delivery Times Compared

KEX runs three domestic products plus an international counter service, and every one of them is tracked end to end. The limits below come from KEX's own service pages and its Terms and Conditions of Carriage.

ServiceCoverageWeight and size limitsDelivery time
KEX Standard ExpressAll 77 provincesUp to 30 kg at drop-off; total dimensions up to 180 cm with no side over 100 cm1 to 2 days, as early as next day in key areas
KEX SAMEDAYBangkok, Samut Prakan, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut SakhonSmall, time-critical parcelsSame day when booked before the 11:00 cut-off on a business day
KEX Bulky ParcelNationwide, surcharge to remote areasOver 20 kg and up to 60 kg; length plus width plus height up to 355 cm, no single side over 200 cmQuoted per route; in-home unpacking and installation available
International ShippingMore than 65 destinations, carried by SF ExpressPer SF Express restrictionsQuoted per destination at booking
Locker Service (Hibox)Bangkok metropolitan area, 24/7Up to 5 kg; largest compartment 34 cm x 45 cm x 29 cmSame transit time as standard service; locker cut-off 14:00

Four value-added options attach to a domestic consignment: COD, Extra Care insurance, an Exchange Service that swaps a replacement item for the original at the door, and Return POD, which brings signed delivery paperwork back to monthly-account senders for documents weighing up to 1 kg.

Delivery and Transit Times

KEX quotes 1 to 2 days for Standard Delivery across all 77 provinces, with next-day arrival in key areas. Chargeable weight is the actual weight or the volumetric weight, whichever is greater, and a remote-area surcharge applies outside the main delivery zones. The figures below are estimates, not guarantees.

RouteTypical transit time (estimate)
Within the Bangkok metropolitan areaNext working day
Bangkok to regional centres such as Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, Phuket or Hat Yai1 to 2 working days
Upcountry districts and remote areasAt the slower end of the 1 to 2 day band or longer; a remote-area surcharge applies
Same-day service inside the five covered provincesSame day, if handed over before 11:00 on a business day
International, carried by SF ExpressQuoted per destination at booking
"A 'Delayed Delivery' refers to a completed delivery which is beyond the estimated delivery date. Estimated delivery dates provided are estimates only and are not guaranteed." (KEX Express (Thailand), Terms and Conditions of Carriage, 2026.)

One structural detail changes the arithmetic on every estimate: KEX defines a working day as Monday to Saturday, excluding Thai national holidays. Sunday does not count, so a parcel collected on a Saturday afternoon has effectively not started its clock until Monday.

Cash on Delivery and the Right to Inspect Before Paying

COD is the reason a large share of Thai sellers chose this carrier, and the ceiling is 50,000 baht per consignment note. The sender pays a COD fee of 2.4% of the declared product value, and the recipient can settle in cash, by QR code, or with Rabbit LINE Pay.

Remittance is fast by regional standards. KEX transfers the collected amount to a Bangkok Bank account three days after the delivery date, and one day later than that for other banks, with faster tiers available through KEX CLUB membership. A COD summary report reaches the seller by email on the day the money lands. A COD POST PAID option charges the sender only when the delivery succeeds, and applies no charge to a parcel the recipient sends back.

Since the Office of the Consumer Protection Board's Dee-Delivery measure took effect on 3 October 2024, the balance of power at the door shifted to the recipient. A recipient may open and inspect a COD parcel in front of the courier, who records photo or video evidence, and may then confirm or refuse it. Refusal is permitted when the goods were not ordered, are visibly damaged, or do not match the order, and the parcel goes back without payment.

A recipient who pays without inspecting keeps a right of recourse for 5 days from receipt, and can request a return and a refund through the KEX website with photo or video evidence, provided the goods are unused, untagged and in their original packaging.

Failed Deliveries, Returns and Claims

KEX caps delivery effort at three attempts: the first, plus two re-deliveries on other working days inside the next seven working days, at no extra charge. A parcel becomes undeliverable when all attempts fail, when seven working days pass beyond the estimated delivery date, or when the shipper cancels. Undeliverable parcels return to the shipper at the shipper's cost, and the original delivery fee is not refunded. A returned parcel routed to a service point must be collected within seven working days.

Liability is low by default, and this catches sellers out.

"KEX's liability in respect of any Shipment is limited to direct loss and damage and a maximum of 2,000 Thai Baht per Consignment Note unless otherwise stated in any mutual written agreement between the Shipper and KEX." (KEX Express (Thailand), Terms and Conditions of Carriage, 2026.)

The Extra Care option raises that ceiling to 100,000 baht. The fee scales with the declared band, from 10 baht for goods valued at 2,001 to 5,000 baht up to 200 baht for the 90,001 to 100,000 baht band. Second-hand goods are capped at 5,000 baht per parcel, and any item declared above 20,000 baht needs an unpacking video recorded at delivery for the claim to stand. The cover is underwritten by MSIG Insurance (Thailand) and brokered by Rabbit Care Broker.

Claims are written and time-boxed. A claim for damage or partial loss must reach KEX within 7 calendar days of delivery, and a claim for total loss within seven calendar days of KEX confirming the loss. One claim is allowed per consignment note, and KEX requires a completed claim form, a copy of a Thai ID card or passport, proof of the item's value, and photographs of the damage. Transport charges must be paid before a claim is processed.

Some goods carry no claim rights at all. KEX refuses cannabis and cannabis products, alcohol, tobacco and e-cigarettes, used vehicle batteries, cash and negotiable instruments, government-issued personal documents, all letters and postcards, live animals, bullion, antiques and artwork, and anything packed in a foam box. Parcels cannot be delivered to PO boxes.

Which Countries Does Kerry Express Deliver To?

Kerry Express international tracking is, strictly speaking, SF Express tracking: KEX's own delivery fleet stops at the Thai border, and every cross-border parcel is handed to its parent's network. Domestically the carrier reaches all 77 provinces, from the Bangkok metropolitan cluster of Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Samut Prakan, Pathum Thani and Samut Sakhon, north to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, across Isan through Khon Kaen, Udon Thani and Nakhon Ratchasima, east into the Chonburi and Rayong industrial estates of the Eastern Economic Corridor, and south to Surat Thani, Phuket and Hat Yai.

International parcels are accepted over the counter at more than 350 KEX Shops and travel on SF Express's network to over 65 destinations. Representative markets include the following.

  • Greater China: mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan.
  • Asia Pacific: Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea, Australia.
  • North America: United States, Canada.
  • Europe: United Kingdom, Germany, France.

Within Thailand the practical limit is not the province but the address type. KEX will not deliver to a location with no person present to receive the parcel, and it does not serve PO boxes, which pushes rural recipients toward the self-collection and locker options.

Cross-Border Customs and International Handoff

The handoff happens at the KEX Shop counter, and everything after it runs on SF Express infrastructure: an air fleet of more than 90 freighter aircraft flying over 100 international routes, and Ezhou Huahu International Airport, Asia's first purpose-built dedicated cargo hub, which opened in 2022. SF Express was ranked the world's fourth largest express carrier on 2024 volumes and brings more than 30 years of cross-border customs experience to the lane.

Practical consequences for anyone tracking a parcel: the prohibited and restricted item list that applies is SF Express's, not the Thai domestic one; import duties and taxes are the responsibility of the importer and are never included in the freight quote; and tracking events after export are generated by SF Express's global system. The KEX international hotline is 1217 followed by option 9.

"KEX reaffirms our mission that every parcel is vital to our customers' business. With SF Express's global network and our commitment to the highest delivery standards, KEX stands by Thai entrepreneurs in this era of borderless trade." (Jiawei Zhang, Chief Executive Officer, KEX Express (Thailand), 9 March 2026.)

Marketplace Collaborations

KEX names TikTok Shop on its own drop-off page as one of the biggest marketplace platforms in Thailand whose sellers use its more than 10,000 drop-off points. Shopee and Lazada sellers use the same counters, and between the three platforms they account for the overwhelming majority of Thai marketplace parcels moving through the network.

For sellers the integration matters more than the brand. A marketplace-generated label carries a consignment number that KEX scans directly, which is why so many Thai tracking numbers are all-digit strings rather than the classic TBK pattern. COD reconciliation is the other half of the tie-up: the platform sets the collection amount, KEX collects it at the door, and the money reaches the seller's bank three to four days later.

The Thai parcel market is crowded and competitive, and marketplace sellers routinely split volume across carriers. Thailand Post holds the universal-service and rural lanes, Ninja Van and the low-cost operators fight on price, and KEX positions on the SF Express cross-border link and on same-day coverage in the capital.

About Kerry Express

Kerry Express was founded in Thailand in 2006 and now operates as KEX Express (Thailand) Public Company Limited, headquartered at the One City Centre building on Phloen Chit Road in Lumpini, Pathum Wan, Bangkok. The company listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in December 2020 under the ticker KEX at an IPO price of 28 baht.

The Kerry name is gone, but the parcels are not. SF Express became the majority shareholder with 62.66% of the shares, the legal name changed to KEX Express (Thailand) Public Company Limited in July 2024, and the brand and logo switched to KEX with effect from 8 August 2024. Tracking numbers issued before the change, including the TBK series, remain valid.

The Hong Kong company that shared the Kerry name went a separate way. Kerry Logistics Network, a freight forwarder in which S.F. Holding acquired a 51.8% stake in 2021 for about HK$17.6 billion, now trades as KLN Logistics Group. In March 2024 it distributed its entire shareholding in the Thai company to its own shareholders as a special dividend, and KEX Express (Thailand) ceased to be one of its subsidiaries. KLN forwards freight; KEX delivers parcels in Thailand. They are different companies, and a Thai parcel tracking number belongs to KEX.

KEX left the stock market in 2025. SF International Holding (Thailand) made a voluntary tender offer at 1.50 baht per share, the last trading day was 14 October 2025, and the delisting took effect on 15 October 2025. As of December 2025 SF International Holding (Thailand) Co., Ltd. holds 98.97% of the shares and public investors hold 1.03%.

"KEX would like to emphasize that our official delisting from the Stock Exchange of Thailand on October 15, 2025 will not affect our customers or business partners in any way." (Jiawei Zhang, Chief Executive Officer, KEX Express (Thailand), 2025.)

The operating network, as reported by the company for June 2025, comprises one central hub and 11 regional hubs, more than 15,000 service points, more than 10,000 drop-off points, and over 350 KEX Shops, covering all 77 provinces. The company holds ISO 9001:2015 certification, describing itself as the only private delivery company in Thailand to achieve recertification to that standard, and ISO 27001:2022 for information security. It owns 48.97% of KEX Express Service Company Limited and an 18% strategic stake in Hivebox (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the operator behind the Hibox lockers used for 24/7 collection in Bangkok. Market coverage of the tender offer put the pre-offer free float at 18.57%. The customer call centre is 1217.

Kerry Express Common Questions:

How do I track a Kerry Express parcel?

Enter the tracking number exactly as printed on your receipt or label, with no spaces or dashes. KEX offers four channels: the website at th.kex-express.com, the KEX App, Live Chat, and the LINE Official Account @KEXThailand. All of them accept the same number, and the website lets you paste several numbers at once.

Why is my Kerry Express tracking not updating?

The most common reason is that no scan has happened yet. Sellers create the consignment note, and the number goes live, before KEX physically takes the parcel, so a freshly issued number can legitimately show nothing for a day or two. After that, gaps of 24 to 48 hours between scans on a long linehaul are normal, because parcels are scanned at the origin branch, at a hub and at the destination branch rather than continuously. A stalled tracker can also mean a failed delivery attempt is waiting on a re-delivery, or that the parcel is sitting at a collection point. If nothing has moved for several working days, contact the sender first: KEX takes instructions from the shipper, not the recipient.

Is Kerry Express the same as KEX?

Yes. Kerry Express (Thailand) changed its legal name to KEX Express (Thailand) Public Company Limited in July 2024 and switched its brand and logo to KEX with effect from 8 August 2024, after SF Express became its majority shareholder. It is the same company, the same network and the same shops. Tracking numbers issued under the Kerry Express brand, including numbers starting with TBK, still work.

Is Kerry Express the same as Kerry Logistics?

No. Kerry Logistics Network is a Hong Kong freight forwarder that now trades as KLN Logistics Group. In March 2024 it distributed its entire shareholding in the Thai parcel company to its own shareholders, and KEX Express (Thailand) stopped being one of its subsidiaries. If you are holding a Thai parcel tracking number, it belongs to KEX, the Thai parcel carrier, not to KLN.

What does a Kerry Express tracking number look like?

Thai domestic numbers usually run to 12 to 15 characters, most often three letters followed by digits. The legacy pattern starts with TBK, for example TBK101901611. Numbers issued since the rebrand are commonly seen with KEX and KX prefixes, and all-digit strings are common where a marketplace generated the label. KEX does not publish a formal specification, so the prefix does not reliably tell you which service was used.

Where do I find my Kerry Express tracking number?

Check the KEX receipt from the shop or drop-off counter, printed under the barcode; the label on the parcel; the shipping confirmation email or SMS from the seller; or the shipment tab of your marketplace order page. If the parcel is going to a collection point, the SMS or email KEX sends contains the tracking number and a six-digit PIN. A marketplace order ID is not a tracking number and will not work in the tracker.

How long does Kerry Express take to deliver in Thailand?

KEX quotes 1 to 2 days for Standard Delivery across all 77 provinces, with next-day arrival in key areas. Same-day delivery is available in Bangkok, Samut Prakan, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Sakhon when the parcel is handed over before the 11:00 cut-off on a business day. These are estimates: KEX states in its terms that estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed.

Does Kerry Express deliver on Sundays and public holidays?

KEX defines a working day as Monday to Saturday, excluding Thai national holidays, so Sunday is not a working day for delivery attempts or for the deadlines in its terms. A parcel handed over late on a Saturday will not usually move until Monday, which is why trackers often look frozen over a weekend or a long holiday.

How many delivery attempts does Kerry Express make?

Three in total. After a first unsuccessful attempt, KEX re-attempts on two other working days within the following seven working days, with no additional charge. If all attempts fail, or if the parcel cannot be delivered within seven working days of the estimated delivery date, it is treated as undeliverable and returned to the sender at the sender's cost. The original delivery fee is not refunded.

What is the maximum COD amount Kerry Express will collect?

50,000 Thai baht per consignment note. The sender pays a COD fee of 2.4% of the product value, and the recipient can pay in cash, by QR code, or with Rabbit LINE Pay. The sender carries all the risk of non-payment, insufficient funds or forgery.

When does Kerry Express transfer the COD money to the seller?

Three days after the delivery date for a Bangkok Bank account, and one day later than that for other banks. KEX CLUB members can qualify for faster remittance depending on their tier. KEX emails a COD summary report on the day the money is transferred.

Can I open a COD parcel before paying?

Yes. Under the Office of the Consumer Protection Board's Dee-Delivery measure, in force since 3 October 2024, you may open and inspect a cash-on-delivery parcel in front of the courier, who records photo or video evidence. You can refuse the parcel without paying if you did not order it, if it is visibly damaged, or if the contents do not match the order. If you pay without inspecting, you have 5 days from receipt to request a return and refund through the KEX website with photographic or video evidence.

How long will Kerry Express hold a parcel for collection?

Three working days at a self-collection point, where you need the tracking number and the six-digit PIN sent by SMS or email. Parcels placed in a Hibox locker are held for 72 hours before being returned to the originating branch. A parcel that has been returned to the sender's designated service point must be collected within seven working days.

What is Kerry Express liable for if my parcel is lost or damaged?

By default, direct loss or damage up to a maximum of 2,000 Thai baht per consignment note. The Extra Care option raises the cover to 100,000 baht, with fees from 10 baht for goods valued at 2,001 to 5,000 baht up to 200 baht for the 90,001 to 100,000 baht band. Second-hand goods are capped at 5,000 baht per parcel, and any item declared above 20,000 baht requires an unpacking video at delivery to support a claim.

How do I file a claim with Kerry Express?

Submit the claim in writing within 7 calendar days of delivery for damage or partial loss, or within 7 calendar days of KEX confirming the loss for a total loss. Only one claim is allowed per consignment note. You need a completed claim form, a copy of your Thai ID card or passport, proof of the item's value such as a receipt or invoice, and photographs if the parcel arrived damaged. KEX will not process a claim until all transport charges have been paid.

Can Kerry Express send parcels abroad?

Yes. International parcels are accepted at more than 350 KEX Shops and are carried by SF Express to over 65 destinations. Tracking after export runs in SF Express's global system rather than the Thai domestic tracker, so a domestic search on an international consignment number will return nothing. SF Express's restricted and prohibited item list applies, and import duties and taxes are the importer's responsibility.

What is the Kerry Express contact number?

The KEX call centre is 1217, and the international shipping hotline is 1217 followed by option 9. You can also reach the company through Live Chat on th.kex-express.com, the KEX App, or the LINE Official Account @KEXThailand. For a parcel problem, contact the sender first: KEX acts on the shipper's instructions, not the recipient's.

What items will Kerry Express not carry?

KEX refuses cannabis and cannabis products, alcohol, tobacco and e-cigarettes, used vehicle batteries, cash and negotiable instruments such as stocks and bonds, credit and debit cards, government-issued personal documents such as ID cards and passports, all letters and postcards, live animals, human or animal remains, bullion and loose precious stones, antiques and artwork, and any parcel packed in a foam box. Parcels cannot be delivered to PO boxes.
