Ninja Van Thailand Tracking

Ninja Van Thailand is the Thai arm of Singapore-based Ninja Van, and since June 2023 it has run a deliberately narrow operation: it collects parcels only in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan, and passes anything beyond that footprint to partner carriers. Ninja Van Thailand tracking therefore often spans two networks, which is the single biggest reason a Thai parcel can sit for days without a new scan. The Thai company sits inside a group that raised US$578 million in 2021 with GeoPost and Alibaba among its investors, then halved in value in a 2025 down round and shut its Vietnamese express arm. Ninja Logistics (Thailand) still runs domestic delivery for merchants through its Ninja Biz and Ninja Pro shipper accounts, and its tracker still resolves the numbers those accounts issue.

Ninja Van Thailand Tracking Number Format

Ninja Van does not publish one fixed tracking-number format, and its own order API is explicit about why: the prefix is set per shipper account. In the API, a waybill number is assembled from an account-level prefix, assigned to each merchant by a Ninja Van account manager, joined to a requested number that must be alphanumeric and may contain dashes. The documented validation pattern is ^([a-zA-Z0-9]+[-])*[a-zA-Z0-9]+$, and Ninja Van's own error text states that the requested portion "must be between 1 and 9 characters (please do not pass a prefix), and can contain alphanumeric characters, and the (-) dash symbol".

The practical consequence is that no single regular expression matches every Ninja Van number. A merchant with a custom prefix produces waybills that never begin with NV at all, and Ninja Van's webhook examples include a short reference in the form DX149431. Numbers that do carry the network prefix follow an NV plus two-letter country-code convention, so a Thailand-issued waybill is commonly seen as NVTH followed by an alphanumeric run, while Singapore and Malaysia shipments appear as NVSG or NVMY. The prefix identifies the account and the market of issue, not the service level, so it cannot be read as an indicator of speed or product.

Ninja Van's interfaces use three names for the identifier and they are not interchangeable. The consumer tracker asks for a Tracking ID. The API calls the finished waybill tracking_number, calls the merchant-supplied portion requested_tracking_number, and uses tracking_id in webhook and parcel-scan payloads. Marketplace sellers frequently refer to the same value as the parcel ID. The number is case-insensitive and contains no spaces.

Where to Find Ninja Van Thailand Tracking Number

Ninja Van Thailand runs 2 separate lookups, one for domestic parcels and one for international shipments, and both need a number that only the seller can issue. The identifier is created when the merchant books the shipment, not by the recipient, so it lives in the order records rather than anywhere on the parcel's journey. Ninja Van's own tracking page routes both of its failure cases, an invalid ID and a missing one, straight back to the merchant, advising anyone affected to "check with your shipper/sender if the tracking number you received is correct".

  • The shipping confirmation or dispatch email from the store or marketplace.

  • The order details page in the marketplace account where the purchase was made.

  • The waybill label printed on the parcel itself.

  • An SMS, Line, or app notification sent when a pickup or delivery is scheduled.

For marketplace purchases the order details page is the most reliable source, because it shows the courier reference alongside the platform's own order number. Those two values are not the same thing, and a store order number entered into a courier tracker returns no scans. Where a Thai seller has a custom prefix configured, the number in the order details may look nothing like a standard Ninja Van waybill and should still be entered exactly as printed.

Ninja Van Thailand Tracking Number Example

The table below sets out the number patterns seen on Ninja Van Thailand shipments. Only the account-prefix mechanism is documented by Ninja Van; the country-code readings are commonly observed conventions, and a prefix on its own does not reliably indicate the service used.

Format / Pattern

Typical Length

What It Indicates

NVTH followed by an alphanumeric run

Varies by account

Commonly seen on waybills issued under a Thai Ninja Van shipper account. Widely used, but not a documented Ninja Van specification.

NV plus country code plus alphanumeric string (Ninja Van's published API example is NVSGBEDBP03784ADPL)

18 characters in the documented example

A waybill issued under a Ninja Van account in that market. The country code reflects where the shipment entered the network.

Custom shipper prefix plus requested number (Ninja Van's webhook example is DX149431)

Requested portion is 1 to 9 characters

An account with its own prefix. Not every valid Ninja Van number begins with NV.

Marketplace reference with no Ninja Van prefix

Varies by platform

A label generated by the marketplace. Still valid in the tracker; enter it exactly as printed.

Ninja Van Thailand Tracking Status Guide

Ninja Van publishes a Thailand-specific order API whose status set contains 17 milestones, byte-identical to the sets used in its Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam specifications. Ninja Van does not publish a plain-language status glossary for Thailand, unlike Singapore and Malaysia, so a Thai tracking page may show slightly softer consumer wording than the machine milestones below. The sequence, however, is the same.

Status

What It Means

Pending Pickup

The shipment has been created and Ninja Van is expecting the parcel. It has not yet been collected from the seller.

Driver dispatched for Pickup

A driver is on the way to collect the parcel from the merchant.

Picked Up

Ninja Van has taken custody and the parcel is moving to the origin hub.

Pickup Exception

Collection failed. The parcel may be pending reschedule, awaiting a re-attempt, or have reached its maximum pickup attempts.

Arrived at Origin Hub

The parcel has been received and processed at the first sorting facility.

In Transit to Next Sorting Hub

The parcel is on a line-haul leg between facilities. No new scan is expected until it arrives.

Arrived at Transit Hub

An intermediate sorting facility has scanned the parcel.

Arrived at Destination Hub

The parcel has reached the facility that serves the delivery address.

On Vehicle for Delivery

The parcel is loaded and a driver is attempting delivery that day.

At PUDO

The parcel is at a pickup and drop-off point awaiting collection by the recipient.

Delivered

Delivery is complete. Granular events distinguish received by customer, left at doorstep, and collected by customer.

Delivery Exception

Delivery did not complete. Granular events cover pending reschedule, re-attempt scheduled, maximum attempts reached, parcel damaged, parcel lost, and overstayed at a pickup point.

International Transit

A cross-border leg. Granular events include export cleared, line-haul departed, line-haul arrived, customs held, and customs cleared.

Returned to Sender

The parcel is going back to the merchant, normally after maximum delivery attempts.

Cancelled

The order was cancelled before completion.

Parcel Measurements Update

The parcel was weighed or measured in a sorting facility. It is an administrative scan and does not indicate movement.

A parcel does not pass through every milestone, and only cross-border shipments produce International Transit events. The reliable signal is progression rather than any single label: while timestamps keep advancing through pickup, hub, and transit scans, the shipment is moving normally even when one status sits unchanged for a day.

Why Ninja Van Thailand Tracking Is Not Updating or Not Working

Thai tracking gaps have one dominant cause that does not exist in Ninja Van's other markets, and it dates from 27 June 2023. The reasons below cover most cases of Ninja Van Thailand tracking that is not updating, not working, or stuck between scans.

The parcel left the Bangkok metro footprint. Since June 2023, Ninja Van Thailand has collected parcels only in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan. Ninja Van told THE STANDARD WEALTH that shipments outside those areas are handled through its partner network. Once a parcel is handed to a partner carrier, Ninja Van's tracker may stop producing new events even though the parcel is still moving, and the scans continue in the partner's system instead.

Awaiting the first scan. A tracking number goes live when the merchant creates the shipment, which happens before Ninja Van physically holds the parcel. Until the first pickup scan lands, the page shows order information only, or returns nothing at all. This normally resolves within a day of handover.

In transit between hubs. Parcels are scanned at fixed points, so an In Transit to Next Sorting Hub status can persist for a day or more while the parcel is genuinely moving on a line-haul leg. No scan is expected until it reaches the next facility.

Customs clearance on a cross-border parcel. An inbound international shipment can hold at Customs Held until duty and tax are assessed and paid. Since 1 January 2026, every parcel entering Thailand is assessed from the first baht, which has made this stage more common than it was.

A failed delivery attempt. A Delivery Exception status means an attempt did not complete. The parcel is held and updates resume once a re-attempt is scheduled or the recipient is contacted. Ninja Van does not publish the number of attempts it makes in Thailand, so the count cannot be assumed from its Malaysian or Philippine policies.

The wrong number was entered. A marketplace order number is not a courier waybill and returns no scans. Because Thai merchants can hold custom prefixes, a valid Ninja Van number may not begin with NV, and it should be copied exactly as printed rather than corrected to a pattern.

Genuinely delayed. Where a status has been frozen well past the expected window, the seller holds the shipping contract and should be contacted first. Ninja Van Thailand support is reachable at support_th@ninjavan.co and through NinjaChat on Line, Telegram, Messenger and Viber.

Services Available to Thai Shippers

Ninja Van Thailand splits its shipper products at a threshold of 150 parcels a month, and its current Thai service menu is materially narrower than the one it runs in Singapore or Malaysia. Thailand is the only Ninja Van market with no Ninja Point locator page, and its website markets B2B restocking and freight forwarding as headline solutions rather than consumer parcel delivery.

Service

Freight Forwarding

Quotation based

Ninja Van does not publish parcel weight limits, dimension limits, or a rate card for Thailand. It does publish them for other markets, and they differ sharply: Singapore caps parcels at 30 kg, while the Philippines allows 50 kg. Those figures are market-specific and cannot be carried across to a Thai shipment.

Delivery Coverage and Transit Times

Ninja Van Thailand publishes no transit-time table, which sets it apart from its Philippine operation, where working-day ranges are stated openly. The practical timing therefore depends on which of two networks carries the parcel. Inside the four-province Bangkok metro area, the shipment stays on Ninja Van's own vehicles from pickup to doorstep. Beyond it, the parcel is transferred to a partner carrier, adding a handover and, frequently, a gap in the Ninja Van scan history.

Thailand's parcel market moves roughly 10 million items a day across all carriers and was worth more than 100 billion baht in 2024, so a Ninja Van parcel travelling upcountry is competing for capacity in a dense, contested network. The only delivery estimate Ninja Van itself stands behind is the Estimated Delivery Information shown on the tracking result for a specific waybill, which is generated per shipment rather than from a published matrix. Any fixed day-count quoted elsewhere for Thailand is an inference, not a Ninja Van commitment.

Returns, Lost Parcels and Claims

Ninja Van publishes compensation caps in Malaysia (RM200 per parcel) and the Philippines (Php 2,500), but publishes no equivalent figure, claim window, or refund deadline for Thailand. The claim route for a Thai parcel therefore runs through the merchant, who holds the shipping contract with Ninja Van, rather than through the recipient directly.

A buyer who suspects a parcel is lost or has arrived damaged should raise it with the seller or the marketplace first, with the tracking number and photographs, and the seller then opens the case with Ninja Van. Marketplace purchases are governed by the platform's buyer-protection terms, and Ninja Van directs marketplace sellers in other markets to claim through the platform rather than the carrier. Where delivery fails repeatedly, the parcel moves to a Returned to Sender flow instead of remaining in limbo, and the return leg carries its own scan history.

Which Countries Does Ninja Van Thailand Deliver To?

Ninja Van Thailand international tracking follows parcels across a group network of six markets, but the Thai operation itself is a domestic carrier whose directly served area is now four provinces. Domestically, Ninja Van Thailand collects and delivers in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan. Everywhere else in Thailand, from Chiang Mai and the northern provinces to the Isan region and the southern peninsula, the final leg is completed by a partner carrier rather than by Ninja Van itself, which is why a scan history can end abruptly at a Bangkok hub.

Across the region the group operates in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam, though Vietnam is a special case. Ninja Van Vietnam posted a formal notice on its own website:

"We would like to officially announce that, effective September 30, 2025, Ninja Van Vietnam will discontinue operations of its Express Logistics service. This is a strategic decision to reallocate resources and focus on developing a new logistics service model." (Ninja Van Vietnam, September 2025.)

  • Directly served: Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan.

  • Rest of Thailand: reached through partner carriers, including the routes to Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Phuket and Songkhla.

  • Regional lanes: cross-border movements from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines into Thailand.

Within Thailand, Ninja Van competes against a field led by Thailand Post, with Flash Express second, J&T Express third and Kerry Express fourth by parcel volume as of mid-2025. A cross-border parcel can pass through more than one of these networks before it reaches the door, and a universal tracker that follows both the origin carrier and the Thai final-mile operator keeps the whole journey in one timeline.

Cross-Border Customs and Import Charges in Thailand

Thailand abolished its duty-free threshold on 1 January 2026, and this is the single most consequential change for anyone tracking an inbound parcel. Customs Department Notification No. 219/2568, issued on 4 December 2025, repealed the 2018 notification that had exempted goods valued at up to 1,500 baht. As BDO summarised the new regime, imported goods valued at 1 baht or more are now subject to both 7 per cent VAT and import duties. The 7 per cent rate is itself a reduced rate, currently extended by royal decree only through 30 September 2026.

The recipient bears the charge. Thai Customs Department sets out the postal route plainly:

"Customs officers calculate its Customs value as well as duty and taxes before handing it to Thailand Post Co., Ltd., which is responsible for distributing the goods to the recipient and collecting duty and taxes on behalf of the Thai Customs Department." (Thai Customs Department, Postal import procedure, accessed 2026.)

For express and marketplace parcels the money is usually collected earlier. Thai Customs signed agreements with five platforms, Lazada, Shopee, TikTok Shop, SHEIN and Temu, so that duty and VAT are calculated at checkout, and it states that around 97 per cent of imported goods now arrive with tax already settled. The Nation Thailand reported the department expects about 250 million imported parcels in 2026, worth more than 45 billion baht. Where tax is not prepaid, the parcel holds at Customs Held until it is paid, and that is the stage at which cross-border tracking most often appears to freeze.

Prohibited imports are refused outright rather than taxed. Thailand's absolute bans cover narcotics, counterfeit currency, pirated goods, obscene material and items bearing the national flag design, and electronic cigarettes and vaping devices are prohibited, which is the most common seizure trigger for parcels sent from abroad. Restricted goods, including food, supplements, cosmetics, plants and telecommunications equipment, require a licence from the relevant Thai agency before they clear.

Marketplace Collaborations

Thailand's platform e-commerce market reached US$35.5 billion in 2025 and grew 51.8 per cent, the fastest rate in Southeast Asia, so the marketplaces are the reason most Ninja Van waybills exist in the first place. Shopee leads Thailand with more than half of platform GMV, TikTok Shop has risen to second on the strength of live and video commerce, and Lazada sits third after repositioning around brands. Each generates its own labels, which is why a Ninja Van reference appears inside the platform's order details as well as in Ninja Van's system.

Cash on delivery, historically Ninja Van's signature product across Southeast Asia, is a weaker proposition in Thailand than elsewhere in the region. COD accounts for roughly 16 per cent of Thai e-commerce transaction value, well behind digital wallets and PromptPay, because Thailand's instant account-to-account rails displaced cash faster than its neighbours did. Cross-border orders from China-based platforms such as AliExpress, Temu and Shein also flow into Thailand, and those parcels are now assessed for duty and VAT on entry under the 2026 rules.

About Ninja Van Thailand

Ninja Van was founded in 2014 in Singapore. Its own account of the origin is short:

"Founded in 2014 by friends Lai Chang Wen, Boxian Tan and Shaun Chong, Ninja Van was born out of a second-hand van." (Ninja Van, About Us, accessed 2026.)

The Thai subsidiary, Ninja Logistics (Thailand) Limited, was registered in August 2016 and rolled out nationally in 2017, operating from a base in Phra Khanong, Bangkok. The group scaled quickly: GeoPost, which led its funding, recorded that "Ninja Van has grown from delivering less than 30 million (2018) to close to 500 million parcels (2021)". In September 2021 Ninja Van raised US$578 million in a Series E round in which GeoPost lifted its holding to 40 per cent and Alibaba Group joined the register, taking total funding to about US$976.5 million.

The trajectory since has reversed. Ninja Van cut 12 per cent of its Singapore workforce in August 2025 and raised fresh capital that month at roughly US$1 billion, about half its 2021 valuation, while refocusing the group on B2B restocking and cold chain. In Thailand the retrenchment came earlier and harder: Thai filings show accumulated losses of more than 3 billion baht over five years before the June 2023 decision to stop collecting parcels outside the Bangkok metro area. The company still markets itself as delivering over 2 million parcels a day with 100 per cent coverage of Southeast Asia, a figure unchanged on its site since 2021, and the Ninja Van Thailand tracking page remains live for the waybills its Thai accounts continue to issue.

Ninja Van Thailand Common Questions:

Is Ninja Van still operating in Thailand?

Yes, but on a much smaller footprint than before. Ninja Logistics (Thailand) is an active company and its tracking page still works. Since 27 June 2023, however, Ninja Van Thailand collects parcels only in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan. Shipments outside those four provinces are handled through partner carriers. Its Thai website now markets B2B restocking and freight forwarding as its headline services.

How do I track a Ninja Van Thailand parcel?

Enter your Ninja Van tracking number into the tracker at the top of this page to see the full scan history in one timeline. You can also use Ninja Van's own domestic tracking page. If your parcel crossed a border, a universal tracker is more useful, because it follows both the origin carrier and the Thai final-mile operator rather than only one of them.

Where do I find my Ninja Van Thailand tracking number?

It is issued by the seller when the shipment is booked, so look in the shipping confirmation email, the order details page on the marketplace where you bought the item, or the label printed on the parcel. If you cannot find it, Ninja Van's advice is to check with your shipper or sender, because they created it.

What does a Ninja Van Thailand tracking number look like?

There is no single format. Ninja Van assigns a prefix per shipper account, so the shape of the number depends on which merchant sent your parcel. Many Thai waybills are commonly seen beginning with NVTH, and Ninja Van's published API example is NVSGBEDBP03784ADPL, but merchants with custom prefixes produce numbers that never start with NV at all. Enter it exactly as printed.

Why is my Ninja Van Thailand tracking not updating?

The most common Thai-specific reason is that your parcel has left the Bangkok metro area and been handed to a partner carrier, at which point Ninja Van may stop producing new scans even though the parcel is still moving. Other causes are a shipment awaiting its first pickup scan, a line-haul leg between hubs where no scan is expected, a customs hold on a cross-border parcel, or simply the wrong number entered.

My tracking has not moved for several days. Is my parcel lost?

Usually not. A multi-day gap is normal when a parcel is on a line-haul leg or has been transferred to a partner carrier outside Bangkok. Treat it as a problem when the status is frozen well past the estimated delivery window. At that point contact the seller first, since they hold the shipping contract with Ninja Van, and they can open a case on your behalf.

Does Ninja Van deliver outside Bangkok?

Not directly. Since June 2023 Ninja Van Thailand has collected parcels only in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan. Deliveries to Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Phuket, Songkhla and the rest of the country are completed through its partner network, so the final leg is carried by another operator.

How long does Ninja Van Thailand delivery take?

Ninja Van does not publish a transit-time table for Thailand, unlike its Philippine operation. The only estimate it stands behind is the Estimated Delivery Information shown on the tracking result for your specific waybill. As a rule, parcels staying inside the Bangkok metro area move fastest, and anything handed to a partner carrier for an upcountry leg takes longer.

Does Ninja Van Thailand offer cash on delivery?

Cash on delivery has been central to Ninja Van's product across Southeast Asia, but it matters less in Thailand than elsewhere: COD is only about 16 per cent of Thai e-commerce transaction value, because PromptPay and digital wallets displaced cash. Whether COD is available on your order is set by the seller and the marketplace at checkout, not by the courier.

What is a Ninja Point, and does Thailand have them?

A Ninja Point is Ninja Van's pickup and drop-off location, typically a partner convenience store. Thailand is currently the only Ninja Van market with no Ninja Point locator on the company's website, while Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam all have one. Do not count on collecting a Thai parcel from a Ninja Point unless the tracking status explicitly says it is at a pickup point.

What happens if I miss my Ninja Van delivery?

The parcel moves to a Delivery Exception status and is held while a re-attempt is scheduled. Ninja Van does not publish how many attempts it makes in Thailand. It documents three attempts in Singapore and Malaysia, but those policies are market-specific and should not be assumed to apply to a Thai parcel. If attempts are exhausted, the parcel is returned to the sender.

Tracking shows delivered but I have not received my parcel. What should I do?

Check with anyone else at the address and with building reception or security first, since Ninja Van records a granular event for parcels left at a doorstep. If it is genuinely missing, contact the seller or the marketplace with your tracking number straight away. They hold the contract with Ninja Van and are the ones who can open an investigation.

How do I claim for a lost or damaged Ninja Van parcel in Thailand?

Through the seller, not directly with the courier. Ninja Van publishes compensation caps in Malaysia and the Philippines but no equivalent figure, claim window, or refund deadline for Thailand. Send the seller or marketplace your tracking number and clear photographs of the damage and packaging, and they will raise the claim with Ninja Van under the platform's buyer-protection terms.

How do I return an item delivered by Ninja Van Thailand?

The return is arranged by the marketplace or the seller, who issues the return label, and the return parcel is tracked under its own number. Ninja Van supports reverse logistics for its Thai shipper accounts, but a buyer cannot book a return directly with the courier. Start in the order details page on the platform where you bought the item.

Will I have to pay customs duty on a parcel arriving in Thailand?

Very likely, yes. Thailand abolished its 1,500 baht duty-free threshold on 1 January 2026, so imported goods valued at 1 baht or more are now assessed for both import duty and 7 per cent VAT. If you bought from Lazada, Shopee, TikTok Shop, SHEIN or Temu, the tax is normally calculated and charged at checkout. If it was not prepaid, the parcel holds at customs until it is settled.

Why does my parcel show Held at Customs?

It is waiting for duty and tax to be assessed or paid before it can be released. Since the January 2026 rule change, every inbound parcel is assessed from the first baht, so this stage is more common than it used to be. Tracking often appears to stall entirely at this point and resumes once the parcel clears and is handed to the final-mile carrier.

I entered my order number but nothing shows. Why?

A marketplace order number is not a courier waybill, and it returns no scans. Look for the field labelled tracking number, tracking ID, or parcel ID in your order details, which is a different value. Bear in mind that a valid Ninja Van number does not necessarily start with NV, because Thai merchants can be issued custom prefixes.

How do I contact Ninja Van Thailand customer service?

Ninja Van Thailand takes recipient enquiries by email at support_th@ninjavan.co and through NinjaChat, which runs on Line, Telegram, Facebook Messenger and Viber. Contact the seller first for anything about a specific shipment, though, because the merchant holds the shipping account and Ninja Van will generally deal with them rather than with the recipient.
